The Honorary Doctorate Award Council was established on May 14, 2021, and the major purpose of HDAC is to honor various accomplishes in different fields in education, business, arts, and social work. Officially approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, HDAC has unprecedentedly come into focus in a very short span of time to be considered as one of the most reliable and believable awarding organizations. HDAC has the tradition of selection and honouring outstanding personalities who brought important contribution to their disciplines and society, thus being a tradition of selection and encouraging.

Our History

Honorary Doctorate Award Council of India is a nationally recognized non-profit organization approved by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India. The organization was established on May 14, 2021, and is dedicated to recognizing and honoring exceptional individuals who have made significant contributions to their profession, industry, or society.

Criteria for Honorary Doctorates

Although HDAC’s selection criteria for the awarding of honorary doctorates is not comparable to that of traditional universities, the association is very structured in their selection process and this is evidenced by how honorary doctorates were awarded to various distinguished individuals. The criteria for selection include:

As a result, the nominee must reach the above-mentioned criteria and must also have contributed significantly to his or her specialty, including research, innovations, or organizational changes.

They should serve the nominee’s work as benefitting the society, enhancing people’s well-being, contributing to human knowledge, or supporting the ideals of social justice.

Candidates must present their potential work as very ethical, integrated and professional all the time.

Nomination Process

In dealing with the nomination of individual for the HDAC honorary doctorates award, the process has rightly been designed to be as public as possible. The following are the steps that are followed in stakeholder mapping:

HDAC in cooperation with the aforesaid international or regional organizations releases a call for submission of candidates of potential beneficiaries every financial year.

As for nomination one has to download forms which are to be found on the official HDAC website, there is more information regarding this process on the internet site. Of course, the nominators must provide details about nominee since numerous sections are to be completed by details of nominee’s accomplishments.

Nominees’ files are considered in a council of respective field experts and the candidates are chosen based on the above said criteria.

Its management and the choice of the honorary doctorate awardee is done by the HDAC board hence it only allows for unbiased results in the final outcome of the awardee.
